Toronto Countertop Installation Prices (2026)
Last updated: By The Slab Desk
These guides answer one question honestly: what does a new countertop actually cost in the Greater Toronto Area? Every price is in Canadian dollars and tied to a named Canadian source, so you can trace each number back to the fabricator or guide it came from. Countertop Installers reconciles conflicting quotes by widening the range instead of picking a favourite, and notes where 13% HST applies.

Frequently asked questions
Are these countertop prices current and sourced?
- Every figure in these guides comes from a named Canadian source, and the source sits beside the number in each price table rather than in a footnote. Where sources disagreed, Countertop Installers widened the range instead of picking a favourite, and the research team reviews each guide before it goes live. Nothing on these pages is an estimate we produced ourselves.
Do these prices include HST?
- No, unless a row says otherwise. Ontario charges 13% HST on countertop supply and installation, and most fabricators quote before tax. Add it before you compare two quotes, and confirm which way a competing bid is written, because a tax-in and a tax-out quote can look far closer than they are.
Why do two quotes for the same kitchen differ so much?
- Because a countertop quote is several jobs bundled together. Check what each bid includes: the material grade and the actual slab, digital templating, edge profile, how many seams the layout forces, cut-outs for the sink and cooktop, tear-out and disposal of the old top, disconnecting and reconnecting the plumbing, delivery, stairs and any shop minimum. Two bids that differ by thousands are usually quoting different scopes, not different value.
